What you see is what you get!

It's simple as that, no blagging, no messing around. The only thing I hate most is wasting my and other's time where lots of good things could be done instead.
My home country is Poland, and I've been UK resident since year 2003. After leaving good prospects at the Polish Naval Academy behind me, I decided to make a big change in my life and move out to different country. At that time, it's been only a temporary, 1 -2 year plan to stay here, gain experience and then come back home. However, things turned out quite differently.
Since settling in the UK, I've taken the language very seriously from the outset. Attending lessons at Bournemouth & Poole College, taking various exams and certifications (FCE, IELTS).
Once reaching a stage of competence in English, I started studying BA(Hons) in Business and Management degree at the Bournemouth University (BU) followed by MSc in Investment Banking and Securities at London School of Business and Finance. Also, I have gained number of certifications with Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), these include FSA Regulation, Securities, Derivatives and Investment Management. I've also been learning programming with .NET and achieved the ECDL, CIW, MCAD, MCSD, MCP Certificates in 2006. For full details, please go to my online CV.
While working for various companies, I came across variety of people, ideas and problems - obviously. However, what I realised was that there's always a way to solve problems, it only requires a little bit of creativity and "out of the box" thinking.
My creativity in apparent in photography, which is one of my interests. Moreover, I believe you also need to be creative while developing web solutions for clients and coming out with good ideas, which can be applied in code. The it-solutions section touches on that.
I also like to stay fit and focused in whatever I'm doing, and running helps me to achieve that. Also, being focused is a main factor when understanding finance, either as an investor or trader.
Finally, I hope I didn't bore you. What's more, I hope that some of these interests might be in line with yours. For that reason I've set up blog where all likely minded people can share their views and experiences on these topics.
Thank for your attention and remember: "Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once." (Lillian Dickson).
